Back in May, Book of Travels developer Might & Delight claimed in a dev blog that it was almost ready to shift focus from bug fixing to content updates. The word “almost” appears to be doing some heavy lifting here, as the tiny multiplayer online title has released yet another bug fixing patch, though this one is smaller than others that have come out previously.
The tiny patch for the tiny multiplayer walkabout game fixes point light problems, inconsistent loot, characters not loading, and a random event where characters would get nauseous after catching a fish with soil worms for some reason. The patch also added a setting that mutes audio when the game isn’t in focus, introduced unique fish in conditional fishing areas, improved water rendering on low graphics settings, and added some new achievements.
In other BOT news, the game is marking its second year of early access with a 25% discount. Readers might recall that the title has had a very bumpy two years of life: Our initial impressions found the game to be “beautiful yet baffling,” after which the studio laid off staff in December 2021 and halted content development in February 2022 to focus on fixing. By the end of 2022, M&D claimed to be back at full capacity in terms of dev headcount, then raised the price of the game by $5 this past January.
