Fractured Veil’s early access launch is delayed once again as the build’s first patch notes go live

Paddle Creek Games just can’t seem to catch a break when it comes to the early access release of its survival sandbox Fractured Veil: Shortly after the studio put out a tweaked roadmap that still dated early access for January 18th, it had to reel back that plan for a fourth time thanks to a situation it said was largely out of its control.

The announcement came just a day before its original release date, with Paddle Creek explaining that its server provider suffered an outage over the last few days, forcing the devs to move the game’s infrastructure to a different network.

In spite of the setback, the team appears confident that this time is for real, as it posted the early access build’s patch notes in full. The post is forthright in calling out some major known issues like fast travel to dungeons causing the game to crash, performance issues for certain zones, and borked elevators, but it also talks up features like the return of a drone, introduction of Easy Anti-Cheat, and a host of other fixes. The notes additionally state that in-game VOIP is being removed temporarily and that any previous progress will be wiped.
