Lord of the Rings Online has opened the Bullroarer test server for players’ first look at update 39 as of today. The heart of the update in testing right now is fresh endgame content: the three-person Isle of Storms instance (open to T3) and the 12-person Depths of Mâkhda Khorbo raid (first two bosses, open to T3). Two other instances – three-person Streets of Râhal Bakh and six-person Dahâl Huliz, The Arena instance – are flagged as “coming soon,” but the four together make up the Arenas of Conflict instance cluster attached to last season’s Corsairs of Umbar expansion.
Do note that you can test out the content even if you don’t already own Corsairs of Umbar; you’ll have to pick up free LOTRO points from the Eyes and Guard tavern on the test server, then “buy” the content that way, though of course it applies only to Bullroarer and not to your production account.
Players will want to skim through the notes; we see a range of class buffs, the Elderslade missions are now delvings, and SSG fixed “the graphical glitch that occurred when Legolas dismounts from his horse during Instance: Allies Unexpected,” which we assume probably looked something like this. Please don’t tell us otherwise.
Bullroarer stays up through Friday afternoon until the next window, so peek in while you can.
