Players eager to get their hands on Albion Online’s European server will want to know that founder packs are officially live this morning. While technically the game itself is free-to-play with an optional per-character subscription and indeed anyone will be able to play on the Euro server come the official launch, the founder packs offer a range of perks in packages from $20 to an eyepopping $200, themed dark and light with their mounts and skins.
Those top packages, by the way, sound absurd, but if you know you’re going to play for a year and you also want most of the other perks, they might be a smart move, as they come with a full year’s sub. Normally, you’d pay $144-$180 just for a monthly sub, depending on its length (up to $260 if you paid week by week, even, but please don’t do that unless you just want the one week). You’ll need to sit down and do some math to decide whether the additional perks – reserved character and guild names, multi-day early access, UI skins, outfits, titles, and mounts – are worth it to you.
And if not? See you on free-to-play launch come April 29th.
