Project Gorgon baked you a cake to celebrate its sixth anniversary on Steam

We stan a king.

On this week’s MOP Podcast, I mentioned that I bought Project Gorgon when it first hit early access on Steam, but I couldn’t remember how long ago that has been. It turns out, it was six years, and I now know this because Elder Game is celebrating the occasion by handing out presents.

Project: Gorgon has been on Steam for 6 years,” the studio says. “From now until April 30th, you can /redeem (in game) your Steam 6th Anniversary Gift Pack containing a treat, title, Live Event Credits and things to make some noise to celebrate. We want to thank all of the players who have played and supported Project: Gorgon over the years and we hope to be around for many more years to come.”

And that’s quite an achievement given the well-documented struggles of the indie dev team. Fireworks, cake, confetti bombs, and the aforementioned “Steamed” title and credits await in-game.

Project Gorgon won MOP’s Indie MMO of the Year award for 2023. And it deserved it, too. Now, we’re excited for the team to put its early access days behind it in favor of launch.
