Planet Crafter is a new multiplayer survival sandbox where you geo-engineer an entire planet

Last week, multiplayer survival sandbox were treated to yet another entry in the field: Planet Crafter, a game I’ve had on my own wishlist for ages – and it’s now fully out of early access and into the world of launch.

Studio Miju Games characterizes it as a “space survival open world terraforming crafting game, designed for 1 to 10 players,” where you “alter the ecosystem of an inhospitable planet to render it habitable for humanity” as you “survive, gather resources, and build you base” and then “generate oxygen, warmth, and pressure to create a brand new biosphere.” Sounds like Astroneer and No Man’s Sky fans would be right at home.

Reviews on Steam are currently in the “very positive” to “overwhelmingly positive” range, and the game is 30% off as I type this, just under $17, but there’s also a free demo if you want to try it before you buy it. Or you can just wait until tomorrow: MOP’s MJ is planning to stream the game on OPTV at 2 p.m. EDT on Saturday, April 19th.
