Tarisland adds damage and defense bonuses for bringing rookies to endgame content

Tarisland has been surprisingly quiet since its launch here in the west last month, with Tencent having focused on launch promotion and influencer showdowns. But now, the team has regrouped for a patch coming tomorrow on August 2nd, though it’s certainly not the biggest.

The team has a range of class spec adjustments for the Frost Mage, Cunning Shadow Swordsman, Wrathful Warrior, and Hunting Ranger, as well as a few raid nerfs and buffs and achievement tweaks. There’s also a nice change for mobile players that expands their max zoom. The most interesting bit falls under the “new features” category in the patch notes and is called a “mode” by the devs, but it looks more like just a buff to incentivize bringing newer players along on raids:

“A new mode, Arcane Realm Floor Challenge will be available starting August 11th. In Arcane Realm and Raid, each player who hasn’t completed the challenge (with a clover icon) will grant the entire team a 2% increase in DMG Bonus and DMG Immunity buffs, up to 5 stacks.”

Servers should go offline around 6 a.m. EDT tomorrow and are expected back up around 9 a.m. EDT.
