It turns out that a whole lot of people like pick-axing their way to success, if survival sandbox Enshrouded’s history this year is any indication. The indie multiplayer title announced that it recently crossed the three million player mark since its early access launch back in January. Out of those, 700K made it to the maximum level of 25 so far.
“In the same near-eight months’ time, the team has delivered three major content updates, four patches, and 16 hotfixes, as well as a handful of community-focused events including contests and content shares,” the studio said. “Keen Games had previously reached milestones of one million players in a mere four days following launch, then reaching two million in less than a month from [early access] launch.”
Enshrouded’s team has doubled in size since the project began. This news is encouraging to the long-term prospects of the game as it continues to work toward a 1.0 launch on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox next year.
