Early access survival sandbox Nightingale just released its huge Realms Rebuilt update

September 12th just keeps cooking, and now it’s serving up the long-promised overhaul update for early access survival sandbox Nightingale.

Realms Rebuilt officially goes live this afternoon, with its completely revamped campaign “throughline,” handcrafted storied realms, retooled dungeons, new bosses, new POIs, new untamed realm maps, new weapons, new spells, the new regency building set, new pet types, increased build limits, the updated UI, and the new glamour station for cosmetic gear. It’s a major do-over for the game that Inflexion hopes will offer a less grindy, more accessible path for dedicated players. Just note that the update comes with a game wipe too.

Do note that if you don’t want the new-new and want to keep playing your old character and world, you can do that, albeit in a solo offline mode that receives no more updates; make sure you follow the instructions from earlier this week to back up your old saves and port it into your time capsule.

As for the rest of you, the 0.5.0 patch notes and video are ready; the servers went offline at 11 a.m. EDT and should be back up by the time you read this if all goes well. And if you don’t already have the game, you can pick it up for 40% off on Steam and EGS right now – basically about 18 bucks.
