Followers of the team vs. team superhero shooter Marvel Rivals already knew that it was headed for its full release on Friday, December 6th, but now NetEase has put a little something extra into that release date: the addition of the psionic assassin Psylocke to the game’s roster on its release.
“A wandering ronin in feudal Japan, the telekinetic warrior known as Sai has devoted herself to striking down ancient demons and monsters. With her wolf Logan by her side, Psylocke won’t rest until all Yokai have fallen by her psychic blade. Sai was ripped from her reality by the Timestream Entanglement and put on display by the Collector. Alongside newfound allies, she escaped her cage and learned that other familiar warriors might still be out there. Her new quest is to gather those heroes, end this conflict, and return home.”
In Rivals, Psylocke will utilize quick movements and agility to flank enemies, as well as the ability to be invisible in order to strike. Her ultimate ability looks to be anything but subtle, however, as she sprouts her signature butterfly wings and carves a path through enemies.
