If you have ever played Stardew Valley and known the pain of having a tree fall over into the lake, good news: The game’s newest patch is here to fix it. With patch 1.6.9, objects that fall into the water will float for a moment, thus meaning that players with magnet rings can get their items instead of immediately losing them to the depths. Now the healing can begin. Of course, console and mobile players might not even notice, since the patch brings all of the features of 1.6 to these versions of the game for the first time, but everybody benefits from this change.

Other changes include allowing players to sleep in any structure that allows you to place a bed within it (so if you want to sleep in a shed, you can sleep in a shed) and a new friend in the secret woods to reclaim otherwise unrecoverable items. There are also numerous quality-of-life tweaks and performance improvements to make your life easier, from bug fixes to making it harder to accidentally sell books you want to trade in. Check out the full patch notes for all the details on the patch.
