Sea of Thieves is continuing to bring back stealth features – incrementally – in Season 14

We’ve reported previously how Sea of Thieves’ Season 14 shipped with enough bugs that most of its stealthy gameplay features had to be temporarily removed. Last week, a few of those features were returned as promised, along with exploit fixes on top.

Crouching has made its triumphant return to the sandbox, alongside the move’s ability to duck from weapons fire and brace slightly against knockback. The patch also fixes crouching exploits that let players change their trajectory after being fired from a cannon, gain invincibility, and mitigate fall damage.

Other crushed bugs include ones that let players shoot through solid surfaces, walk through enemy threats untouched, and fling each other across the sea using the grapple gun. Meanwhile, other Season 14 features like traps, disguises, and ledge hanging continue to be disabled for the time being, and quick-switching weapons while crouched will be removed in a later patch.

In other SoT news, Rare Ltd. is focusing on the positive in its latest video, which confirms the return of Legends Week activities like special voyages that will run between December 2nd and 8th, talks up a new mimic dart that coming soon that will let players literally copy another player character’s look, and showcases new updates arriving each month like login goodies, a free pirate emporium item, and time-limited voyages; these features will first arrive in the November 14th update.
