Thematically speaking, fighting the legions of Hell with the power of divine light kind of makes sense, even if a world like Sanctuary sees demons get blown up by things like crossbows. But we’re getting a bit semantic; the point is that Diablo III’s Season 34 is on the horizon, which will rerun the Light’s Calling theme when it launches Friday, January 24th.
For those who don’t remember the theme and its mechanics when it first arrived in 2022 (and nobody would blame you; two years is like a decade nowadays), the Light’s Calling theme sees angelic crucibles drop from monsters that players can consume to apply one of three class-specific powers to any legendary item their character owns.
As for rewards, that also continues the stated trend of bringing back cosmetics and other goodies, including shiny items from Season 10, a returning pet and portrait frame from Season 17, and the usual slate of goodies for clearing season goals and from Haedrig’s Gift. It’s all a bunch of shiny while season characters wield the shiny that’s on its way to the OARPG.
