Were you too busy gaming this week to pay attention to MMO news? Get caught up every Sunday evening with Massively Overpowered’s Week in Review!
Another huge week for the MMO genre! On the AAA MMORPG front, Guild Wars 2 dropped its final season 3 episode, noted Mike Z is leading the expansion effort, and teased its expansion announcement for this week (stay tuned for our liveblog Tuesday!).
Star Citizen dominated the headlines and comment sections with the news that its alpha 3.0 has been delayed again, that the new concept ground vehicle boosted the game to $155M funding but won’t launch with 3.0, and that the studio has “no intention of reducing the size of the Star Citizen universe.”
And Citadel: Forged With Fire launched early access, building on last week’s Fortnite and Dark and Light momentum and leading into this coming week’s launch of The Secret World on Steam.
Read on for the very best of this week’s MMO news and opinions.
