Almost a year ago, NCsoft announced a new spin on Blade and Soul called Blade & Soul Neo Classic. The game as planned would offer upgraded visuals but with a more old-school version of the game’s combat and progression systems. But we haven’t actually gotten much English-language news on the game all year, which is why it probably fell off your radar as it fell off ours, though it did roll into open beta in China. Now, NCsoft has announced preregistration for Korean players too – along with a name change to just BNS NEO.
“Introducing BNS NEO, a new service that will soon be available to you,” NCsoft wrote in its announcement for Korean players yesterday (Google translated from Korean). “BNS NEO provides an unrestricted light attack system, changing martial arts, and the best visual environment. In addition, we have prepared the NEO News service to quickly deliver NEO-specific news. In order to provide better service, we decided on a new name for BNS NEO. Pre-registration and YouTube subscription events also begin from today.”
Of course, we still don’t have a date for launch here in the west, which is what most of our readers would want, but since NCsoft’s western branch posted this to its English channels and website too, we assume it’s not that far off.
“The official launch date for our North America and Europe region will come at a later time. We look forward to sharing more news with you soon about BNS NEO!”
BIG news Crickets!🦗We are excited to announce that BNS NEO is officially launching in Korea soon! We are so thrilled that the game will be available in a new region, bringing us closer to the global launch!🎉
