EVE Online’s multiplayer mobile-only 4X strategy game EVE Galaxy Conquest officially releases

Are you ready for a second mobile game from the EVE Online universe? Stop answering, it’s already happened: Say hello to EVE Galaxy Conquest, a new free-to-play 4X strategy title for iOS and Android from CCP’s Shanghai studio that lets players… well, conquer the galaxy.

“In the midst of an unprecedented assault by nefarious forces, players must choose one of four powerful empires – Caldari State, Gallente Federation, Amarr Empire, or Minmatar Republic – and command iconic ships from EVE Online to battle for control of the cosmos.”

Readers might recall that this game’s launch was heralded by CCP Games in September: Players will be able to engage with one another in diplomacy, warfare, or subterfuge with “tens of thousands” of others as they seek to expand their chosen faction’s grasp of the universe in every season the game launches, all with the ultimate goal of climbing the ranks and being named the season winner.

To mark the game’s release, Galaxy Conquest is granting seven days’ worth of login rewards in the form of 10 recruitment tickets each day, which can be spent to roll on what reads like the game’s gacha machine “to get legendary ships and commanders.” There’s also a freebie available in EVE Online proper to claim in celebration of the mobile title’s launch.
