In a move that by no means is counter-programming to Path of Exile 2’s recent early access launch, Blizzard announced that it is making Diablo IV free to play for everyone across every platform through the end of 2024 and a little bit beyond (it ends January 3rd).
This promotional trial includes the new Spiritborn class, although it doesn’t extend to cover the Vessel of Hatred campaign, only the base game offering. However, Blizzard is running holiday sales on the expansion and selling the core title at 40% off, so there’s a whole strategy at work here. We’re sure you’re savvy to it.
Some players have called on Blizzard to make this trial a permanent thing, offering an easy way to jump into Diablo IV before trying to upsell them with cosmetics and the expansion.
It’s the perfect time to test your mettle against the armies of Hell 🔥
For a limited-time, play #DiabloIV and the new expansion class on Xbox, PlayStation and Battle net for free.
