There’s a feature sitting right in your Garrison in World of Warcraft that you might have barely used, but it’s something that pet battle enthusiasts really do want. If you’ve never even tried out pet battles, you might not even realize it’s there. It’s the Menagerie, and a new development post provides a quick guide to unlocking and using the Menagerie for players who haven’t really thought about it from the start of the expansion to the present.
Unlocking the Menagerie requires a level 3 Garrison, a level 100 character, and somewhere between five and 10 max-level rare-quality pets. You have to defeat three particularly nasty pets roaming your Garrison in order to unlock it, something that requires a bit of planning ahead but can be handled with a variety of different configurations. Then you’ll unlock the ability to step into the Menagerie ring for daily opponents, earning battle stones to upgrade your pet’s quality when you win – a fine reward for all the pet-slinging you’ve done up until now.
