Cryptic’s been on a bit of a ban streak in Neverwinter lately, and it recently explained to its community what exactly is triggering the punishments.

According to a post on the forums, permanent bans have been levied only against accounts that are displaying botting, while three-day temporary suspensions are slapped on accounts that have purchased currency from a third-party site.

“Purchasing currency violates our in-game policies for the game and is not something that we condone with players,” Cryptic said. “Using the services from these third-party sites puts your account security at risk so we strongly encourage you to avoid visiting them.”
