Star Wars: The Old Republic developers expound on Eternal Championship and companion delays

Remember, if we meet any primitive cultures on this planet, I'm the god. Unless they're one of those cultures that kills their gods, in which case Bradley is the god.
Another month has arrived, another story chapter has gone live for Star Wars: The Old Republic, and another producer’s livestream has happened. You can watch the full archived stream below, but if you can’t watch the video or simply don’t want to watch a half-hour video to get information, there’s a handy summary available from Dulfy placing all of the information in straightforward text. PvP players in particular can look forward to the game’s next warzone and arena arriving with Chapter XII on April 5th.

The Eternal Championship was originally planned for this patch, but it was held back due to the major issue of just not being sufficiently fun to play; it’s expected to be up on the test server by late March, with a launch date announced on the next producer’s stream. The team also reiterates that the delays of reintroducing certain companions is a matter of making sure that the companions you deal with have story and impact behind their returns. The full stream archive, as mentioned before, is embedded below.

I am so ticked myself as i also play swtor on both Laptop and desktop i understand his frustration cause i have a gaming laptop and have the same issues with delay in abilities reappearing after chatting which i do not get on desktop computer running less spec’s than my laptop,

submitted tickets and i i got back was they will issue a fix in the next update which was the game update 4.0 yet no mention of the fix so both me and my mate wait for this game upgrade 4.2 nothing again and then 4.2a and still the problem exist.

All the swtor are interested in is pushing out buggy upgrade contents instead of giving gamers stable reliable gaming.

My best mate just quit this Swtor The Old Republic game not more than 20 minutes ago 17th March 2016 due to the constant abilities disappearing after chatting with the points of contacts for the next stages which swtor has never address or giving a possible reason for it.

His put up with it over 4 years on two different laptops and no once has swtor developers every looked in to the issue to see why.

Swtor the old republic has not fixed a good dam thing in 4 years the game is crap to play on laptop running Windows 10 x64 and Imperial agent still locks up the level sync is rubbish with fighting world bosses and the constant bugs left over from 2.1 are still presence,

On top of this the internet service is so poor off late many gamers from sony to xboxes are even complaining like those in swtor..

I know of 200 people who have quit playing Swtor the Old republic in the last week all good friends due to server lag, gaming bugs and constant upgrades that always have gaming faults.
then when you complain about it swtor takes months to respond only to tell you to submit a ticket to which your already dun.

bryanjturner Kithred They release fairly large patches every couple of weeks now. This week they released 2: one on Tuesday and one on Thursday. “Reorganizing Data” is just making a backup copy of the old files and moving necessary files before downloading new ones.

If you log in more than once every few weeks, you will need to patch before playing.

Yeah, I just lock in a 6 month sub for the discount and CC bonus. I’m going to raid about once a month anyway. The chapters are just a nice bonus. Been saving my coins for years, happy I do the authentication thing! I like to gift friends discounted items from time to time.

I would like to add that TSW has an amazing reward system for subs. The bonuses, discounts, rewards and Funcom points are just ridiculous.

Karl_Hungus sray155 Estranged In addition to what’s been pointed out by Estranged  and quinnthalas  SWTOR subscribers earn 25% more XP than non-subs, higher mission payouts, lower repair costs, lower vendor fees, more auction house slots, etc… ultimately the same type of subscriber bonuses that ESO offers.

In a one on one battle, any MMORPG on the market will come out better than some and worse than others. A subscription in an average MMORPG provides various subscriber bonuses and monthly stipend (generally translates to being worth $5 per month). Your subscription will get you access to new content usually every three or four months, but generally only if you’ve purchased the latest expansion; however if you haven’t purchased that, then your sub isn’t even getting you new content. SWTOR happens to be an exception to that trend, as does ESO. You can do a case by case comparison of SWTOR to any other game on the market, and in most cases it will provide more than most other games on the market, and less than others. You can also compare ESO on a case by case basis to any other game on the market and get the exact same results: better than most, worse than some. Compared against the rest of the market as an average, both ESO and SWTOR have subscriptions that provide above average benefits.

Regardless of any amount of content that is/isn’t/has/hasn’t been released in SWTOR any person subscribing month to month for the KotFE story is an idiot because they can just wait until all the chapters are out and get the whole works, forever, for one month’s subscription. So anyone who is subscribing on a monthly basis is most likely doing it for the benefits beyond just the KotFE story, and those benefits are above average for the MMORPG market.

$15 locks in everything at that juncture. That is very fair. The MMO vagabond can play SWTOR on the cheap.

Eso’s cash shop stipened is worth exact same as SWTORs, infact a little bit less (theirs is exactly 5 Euro where as swtors is worth 5 euro 50C)

Eso only LOANS you the DLC while you are subbed, unsub and you lose access, SWTOR lets you keep it.
