Nobody likes being criticized, ever. But it’s a reality of life, and so Worlds Adrift has been taking the feedback from players about the game’s PvP scene in stride. The team behind the game has also updated the free island creator tool, so if you feel like engaging in a round of player vs. interface and player vs. the multi-layered complexity of realizing player ideals in a three-dimensional design space, go nuts.
You want some more beta news? Well, we got a little bit of that, it turns out.
- The next test for OrbusVR will feature market stalls and messages alike, so you can not sell something and then tell your friends that you don’t sell it through direct messages. Riveting!
- A pre-alpha for City of Titans is planned for 2017. That’s good news for anyone who wants a chance to see the game in its earliest working state and people who like games that are constantly resetting with a comic book theme. So fans of mid-aughts DC comics, probably.
- Can you play the next big update for Star Citizen yet? No. But you can breathe. Hopefully. Breathing is important, you use it to not die.
- Good news for TERA fans, as TERA M will bring most of your favorite classes and races to the game’s mobile incarnation. Of course, you also only get one class determined by race and gender, but… wait, that’s actually not a good thing.
And, of course, there’s a list down below of titles in testing, many of which were not affected by the double punch of a holiday and a convention back-to-back. Go ahead and check out the list, and feel free to leave your comments on betas you’re currently playing down below. Or let us know if something jumped status, that’s cool too.
As always, we consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s usually under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed; we also do not list expansions, with occasional exceptions.
