EVE Online celebrates 15 years with a trailer of fan events

An MMO with a trailer for 15 years of operation is not entirely unusual. It’s not common, because not many games make it to 15 years in the first place, but it makes sense. Of course, EVE Online has a different slant in its big anniversary trailer down below. The events chronicled in the trailer aren’t simply some of the biggest ones that have occurred over the game’s lengthy history, they’re ones created by the players. It’s not just 15 years of history, it’s 15 years of history shaped by people deciding to blow one another up in deep space.

Of course, the official letter for the event describes it as “the most incredible stories in gaming history,” which sounds significantly more epic. But they’re caused by players either way.

Players can also look forward to special 15th anniversary skins for ships and player avatars, so you can celebrate whether you’ve been present since the first day or only recently decided to get in on the action.
