Final Fantasy XIV explains tomestone changes to avoid any misunderstanding

The invisible touch of market forces is hitting Final Fantasy XIV with patch 4.4, and Allagan Tomestones of Mendacity will no longer be the newest currency. Instead, players will be collecting Allagan Tomestones of Genesis, but you won’t be in a land of confusion if you pay attention to the exchange procedures. They’re fairly standard, but if you’ve still got a stash of Verity tomestones, make sure to exchange that soon so you’re not throwing it all away.

Allagan Tomestones of Creation will no longer be obtainable, but if you have many too many (or even just a few) you can exchange them for Mendacity in Mor Dhona. You can already do so with Verity tomestones, which should be done sooner rather than later before they’re removed from the game in 4.4 and you’re in too deep. So get ready for the Allagan Tomestones of Genesis, and if your tomestone engine is cycled down, you’ll want to turn it on again.
