The Division 2 mops up exploits and announces a PTS in its latest state-of-the-game

With launch and its first big patch under its belt, The Division 2 team has delivered a state-of-the-game address about what it’s doing next.

Notably, Ubisoft and Massive explained that they’ve fixed an exploit with missions and multiple bugs with keys, t-poses, and crafting benches, and they’re looking into stuck characters, weird NPC aggression AI, true patriot bonuses, and world tier 5 gear drops. A broader balancing pass is also apparently planned.

And where will you be testing said updates? Why, on the new public test server, of course. According to the recap on Reddit, the PTS will be aimed at PC and Uplay players, accessible only to existing players. There won’t be an NDA, either.

I just jumped in a few weeks ago and I’ve enjoyed it but was disappointed that skill builds are weak and very stat demanding. Glad they are making changes by buffing them and access to craft blue mods.

When other developers will just hold off until the next patch cycle to fix everything at once, less than 24hrs after the Massive’s weekly state of the game Q&A, they wasted no time in getting issues patched up. While it’s not all pressing issues the game is dealing with, it’s still a quick turn around for the ones they could get out.

Hmm. Other developers don’t wait until full patch cycles to issue hotfixes, they happen all the time. When they issue an update that “fixes” the nerfs that are pushing away players then I’ll give you a thumbs up. For now nothing to see here.
