Hi friends! Would you like to hear more about Star Citizen stuff? Of course you would! And if you don’t, make sure to tell us to stop covering it in the comments; we’re totally listening!
A leaky information faucet has drip-drip-dripped some early details about the next alpha build for Star Citizen, offering those of us not counted among the Evocati testers a cursory glimpse at what’s coming to the game. As one would expect given the patch’s numbering, there aren’t a lot of big-ticket items in the leaked patch notes. That said, there are a wide number of bug fixes that will very likely give Star Citizen fans reason to smile, including fixing missile damage, several mission bugs, and various odd door and lift behaviors for several of the game’s internet spaceships.
On the more officially announced side of things, players curious about the Tumbril Ranger motorcycle can now have a number of their questions answered. Among the offered answers is confirmation that the Ranger will have advantages over hoverbikes in some areas, such as a lower energy signature and the ability to work on planets that have hazards that prevent hoverbikes from functioning once said hazards are implemented. There’s also confirmation that certain clothing will increase or decrease your character’s inventory space. Most importantly, however, is confirmation that you should be able to perform wheelies.
Finally, another episode of Inside Star Citizen has been posted online. This week, it’s all about the Origin 300 variants, a look at the creation and implementation of various ship components, and a first look at the plant life that will be visible in the New Babbage landing zone of the upcoming Microtech planet. That video is embedded below.
