Ship of Heroes tweaks character creation tool beta, plans costume contest today

As the character creation tool beta for Ship of Heroes rolls on, the folks at Heroic Games are hard at work making adjustments to the beta build and they’d like to show their work. A new forum thread has been opened up that will offer a daily list of adjustments and fixes made to the beta as the test moves forward.

The day one post outlines fixes for things like public area instance issues, chat being eaten in certain channels, an invisible cube, and issues with key registration. In addition, the list also notes feedback points brought to the appropriate members of the dev team, such as costume clipping issues, lighting problems causing dark shadows, and keybind problems.

The thread does state that the list is not comprehensive and that if testers don’t see an issue in the post, it doesn’t mean that the problem is being ignored. The thread also is likely going to be updated on a daily basis, so it might be in testers’ best interest to keep an eye on progress.

There’s also going to be a number of in-game events like a costume contest this afternoon, November 3rd, between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. EST; a treasure hunt Tuesday, November 5th, at 7:00 p.m. EST; a Crush the Server FPS test on Thursday, November 7th, at 7:00 pm. EST; and an in-game Q&A with the devs on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. EST to noon.

Speaking of superheroic character creation, make sure to watch our Into the Super-Verse column for some future impressions of Ship of Heroes’ character tool and current thoughts on the City of Titans character builder.
