Fallout 76 patches in ally customization, treasure hunting content, and piles of bug fixes

It’s patch day in the post-apocalyptic wasteland of Fallout 76, and while yes the update has a whole bunch of marquee features we’ll talk about here in a sec, maybe the most comforting section of today’s patch notes is the long, long list of bug fixes. Because this game has a lot of bugs. But now it has fewer bugs. OK. Moving on.

The fun stuff runs the gamut from ally customization (yes, you’ll be playing dress-up with your pet humans) to the treasure hunting-themed time-limited event. The the Fasnacht Seasonal Event parade is back next week as well, with gathering quests for that in place right now. Plus, Bethsoft has tweaked auto-naming, added backpack appearances, implemented new Nuclear Winter challenges, and fixed those aforementioned bugs, including invisible instrument bugs, chair bugs, dupe bugs, lighting bugs, stealth bugs, turret and workbench bugs, quest bugs, UI bugs, and the one where your allies go all Westworld on you and start attacking everything in sight. That seems like an important one to fix.
