EVE Online opens up the first of its time-limited Proving Grounds for 2v2 fights

Players in EVE Online have been able to collect Proving Filaments for the new Proving Grounds fights for a little while now, but it’s just about time to make real use of them. The Proving Grounds will be open now until July 28th for players to sign up for 2v2 matches in tech 1 hulls; Omen, Caracal, Maller, Rupture, Thorax, Stabber, Arbitrator, Blackbird, Celestis, Bellicose, Moa, and Vexor hulls are all eligible to enter into this limited-time arena.

The basics of this time-limited event have already been detailed, with the Proving Grounds now locked into a more constrained format for a limited time as a way of ensuring more balanced opposition. Of course, players will earn rewards for emerging victorious, with prizes including new SKINs for placing highly as well as regular loot from winning each given match. So if you want to blow up your fellow players in a slightly more structured fashion than normal, it’s time to fly into the arena.
