Past Fate promises new spells and skill trees to alpha as its Kickstarter marches on

As the second Kickstarter drive for sandbox MMORPG Past Fate rolls on, the devs at Icy North Games are still hard at work improving the game’s alpha build, kicking out a bug fix-loaded update and planning on future updates that will include more spells & abilities for Necromancer, Warrior and Priest classes as well as a first phase of talent trees, updates to the game’s UI, revisions to a number of quests, and an early version of destructible areas to access caves and secret underground areas.

The update further touts a growing Discord community, thanks its fans for submitting feedback and bug reports, and also announces two new backer tiers to its campaign: A “Hunter” tier that includes the exclusive Goblin Squire pet, and a “Stablemaster” tier that offers a unique horse mount. These new tiers are offered for $70 and $125 respectively. There’s even a weapon design contest for fans to participate in.

As for the drive itself, it doesn’t appear to be gaining a whole lot of traction, sitting at just over $3,000 of its $25K goal at the time of this writing. That said, anything can happen in 20-odd days, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
