With less than a month until the announced launch date for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, players are anxiously crying out in one voice for just several dozen things. Seriously, there’s a lot of consternation in the playerbase right now. But one of the points of anxiety has been the functionality of conduits, and the latest official word from the developers is meant to explain how conduits work… which is identical to relics from Legion. You slot them into soulbinds instead of artifacts, but they’re just like relics.
Naturally, this means that conduits are functionally just items that can drop from a variety of different sources, more powerful ones are available in more progression-oriented content, and so on. You are probably familiar with all of these concepts. Whether or not this is the answer you wanted to hear is another discussion altogether.
On the bright side, players can take heart that the pre-patch candidate has gone back to being in a launch-ready state as of last night. And that means Blizzard is holding a stress test this very afternoon and evening, with the first one starting at 3 p.m. EDT.
