How are you this way.

We’ve got some unfortunate but not unexpected news from Pirate101 this week, as KingsIsle has admitted that its content drought will continue for the foreseeable future.

“In the September 2019 producer letter, we discussed a bit about the future of our updates – specifically that we were not considering any new worlds but looking at other ways that we could expand the game,” the studio writes. “A year later, we find ourselves in the same situation. We’ll be celebrating Pirate’s 8th birthday all month long, Veteran’s Day, and the Holidays like normal, but unfortunately, we don’t have any new content updates planned this year.”

The upside is that the team says it’s still “actively looking at ways [it] can update Pirate,” though it has nothing to announce at the moment. KingsIsle fans should take a peek at the October newsletters for both Pirate101 and Wizard101 for more hints about what’s on the way for both games.

We’ll be streaming the game for its eighth birthday later today on OPTV, so stay tuned for that!
