Path of Exile releases the full patch notes, passive tree, and item filter information for Echoes of the Atlas

Once again, it’s all about preparing Path of Exile players for that new meta. With the Echoes of the Atlas expansion nearly arriving to players, Grinding Gear Games has unleashed the update’s full patch notes as well as another tool to help players plan their builds with passive tree and item filter details.

Both posts, as one would expect out of this studio, are deeply in-depth in order to help long-time players get to grips with everything that’s new: The patch notes not only detail new content like the Ritual Challenge League, they also outline balance adjustments to characters, skills, vaal skills, support gems, cluster jewels, and much more. The passive tree and item filter post, meanwhile, gives a long list of new items and map tiers, as well as syntax and JSON data.

Echoes of the Atlas is set to launch on Friday, January 15th, which is good because it might take an entire day to digest all of the new information.

I vastly appreciate how detailed this games update notes are.

I miss the short videos showing off the key features like the new skills gems however.

IIRC they did that with the league reveal last week, no? I don’t know if they’ve done individual videos for it, but I could swear I saw them showing off the new uh…water orb thingy skill gem and how it interacts with cold/lightning damage on the stream >.>

The new gems are discussed at 24:27. Hydrosphere is the only new skill though (and Trinity is the only new support.)

That’s the name, thanks. Yeah, not too many new gems this league so not much to really show. Just the MASSIVE(tm) skill rebalance. Glacial Hammer is un-nerfed back to when it was still not amazing. I believe the kids would say “POGGERS” to this.

Now if you’ll excuse me, the sadomasochist in me is trying to figure out how to make a Smite-based Herald of Purity Necromancer for Ritual league, knowing full well it’s probably a shit build even before Necro finally got hit with some nerfs. At least it’ll hopefully be more in-line with other ascendancies and not stupid OP as per usual.
