There’s plenty of things to be scared of in the universe of EVE Online, but things are about to get spookier for the Halloween season thanks to a number of new and returning events in the internet spaceship sandbox.

The big returning event is the Crimson Harvest, which now lets players side with the Blood Raiders as well as side with the Amarr faction to put them down. Combat and hacking sites for both sides can be found in all sectors of space and in wormhole systems, along with advanced combat sites hidden around the cluster. Whichever side players choose, there are challenges and rewards waiting to be collected.

As for new events, EVE is letting players go trick or treating except other players are the candy buckets, with loot drop rates for PvP kills being increased by as much as 90%. Finally, this weekend will see a new Abyssal Proving Ground for destroyer ships that features an arena effect that boosts Stasis Webifier range, Nosferatu and Energy Neutralizer strength, and Laser turret damage.

The Crimson Harvest and PvP drop rate boosts run between now and November 9th, while the Proving Ground opens between October 29th and November 2nd.
