So Star Citizen launched patch 3.18 last weekend, and everything worked absolutely perfectly with no downsides, please don’t check. But it’s all right because eventually it was addressed with a round and caring “please return to your homes, nothing to see here, look forward to 3.19!” So, yeah, pretty much par for the course for this game.
Other beta news for people not infected with Chris Roberts’ brainworms:
- Diablo IV is into its open closed purchased testing preview demo whatever. It’s not that Khajiit has wares if you have coin; it’s Blizzard has a game if you have coin and a willingness to forgive its many sins.
- The Wagadu Chronicles has kicked off Alpha 3 this week, and players are allowed to share all the footage they’d like.
- The team behind Palia has more than doubled in the last two years, and a lot of people want to test the game.
- Last but not least, Nightingale wants to seriously impress you with the visuals of its realms. Be amazed!

As always, we consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s usually under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed, nor will games that are NFT/blockchain scams; we also do not list expansions, with occasional exceptions.
