Bonus question: What do you think about horses?
Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): Splatfest prep and Big Run in Splatoon 3 this weekend? Yes please! I’ll also hit up some Pokemon Go and maybe Pokemon Violet if I feel generous. The new Mewtwo raid is the hardest, most specific-feeling Pokemon raid I think they’ve ever done, and it’s not super fun.
Horses? Higher upkeep than a car but much more tasty. Why? Is someone offering some?
Andy McAdams: So many games vying for my attention right now. Still deep in Baldur’s Gate 3, but Starfield is tempting too. Theoretically I should be playing something like an MMO, but with Space-Skyrim joining my half-drow warlock who could talk his way out of everything in competing for my attention, I’m just not finding the time.
Bonus question: I love riding, but I spent a summer taking care of 27 Arabians and they are very opinionated animals that have surprisingly good aim when throwing basketballs at you because they’ve decided it’s time to eat, so my opinion on taking care of horses is very different.
Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): I finished the first zone of Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure this week, so I’m forging forward into the second one this weekend. I’m trying to get through it before I move my brain to Starfield.
I’m say I’m a secret horse girl, but let’s be real, it’s not a secret at all.
Chris Neal (@wolfyseyes, blog): Armored Core 6 will once again take up the vast majority of my weekend time share, but there are also a few tiny objectives to move forward on in Final Fantasy XIV and a pensive peering in to Lord of the Rings Online… unless that stat crunch fix isn’t in by then.
I adore horses. I rode only one time but it was an unforgettable experience (even when it decided it had enough of me and tried to fill gallop back to it’s barn until I pulled on the reigns), and an ex-girlfriend and I rescued an abused horse and nursed it back to health and into a trusting disposition; that was a lot of work but incredibly rewarding.
Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): Amidst all the gating of Baldur I kind of forgot that 30XX released, and since we’re likely to get a new actual game in the Mega Man X series on the fourth of never at this point I’ll take what I can get. (Also 30XX is just a great game, so that helps.) Other than that, the usual FFXIV stuff.
I don’t actually think about horses at all.
Mia DeSanzo (@neschria): I have started playing EverQuest 2 with one of my adult kids, so that’s my plan. It’s much more fun with someone else who also has no clue what they are doing.
I am afraid of horses. They are large, powerful, and terrifying.
Tyler Edwards (blog): I should probably be finishing my Dragon Age: Inquisition replay, but the expansion hype seems to be sucking me back into New World.
Bonus question: They seem neat.
