Hawked’s early access on PC is underway with a console crossplay beta this weekend

Over the past few months we’ve been keeping an eagle eye on Hawked, MY.GAMES’ colorful entry into the PvPvE extraction shooter sub-genre. Readers might recall it first entered our radar in July, held a crossplay open beta in September, and confirmed a November 30th PC early access launch.

As scheduled, that free-to-play early access for PC went live last week, bringing with it two game modes, its first season pass, a host of improvements from its prior test build, and (unsurprisingly) monetization in the form of a cash shop and a Grail+ subscription service. The shooter also got a more recent update with overall improvements and bug fixes.

While most of this is all about the PC version of the game, console players can hop in to a crossplay open beta test that’s scheduled to run between December 7th and 11th for Steam and all Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Incidentally, though early access is on Steam, this crossplay beta is a separate build and so interested PC players are going to have to install a completely different build by clicking on the appropriate “join” button.
