Ubisoft is full of determination, or at the very least resolve, as the studio has laid out plans for Project Resolve, a seasonal update coming to The Division 2 that focuses on “improving player experience and laying the groundwork for future content.”
The update touches many facets of both the PvE and PvP experience. For PvE, Project Resolve will apply targeted adjustments to global events; changes to the completion conditions and rewards for a variety of daily, weekly, and seasonal projects; changes to the costs of expertise upgrades; and a host of quality-of-life updates.
On the PvP side of the coin, the update will remove expertise and SHD watch benefits in Conflict, make status effects easier to manage, limit loadout changes to once per respawn, add turrets to spawn zones to prevent camping, and adjust dark zone PvP, with a goal of creating a more distinct contrast between invaded and uninvaded dark zones and opening the mode up to a wider audience.
Project Resolve will begin public testing for PC players on the PTS server in two phases, with the first test scheduled between December 15th through the 18th and the second test running between January 19th and 22nd. After that, Project Resolve’s sweeping series of changes will arrive when Season 6 launches on February 6th, while Ubisoft is promising continued improvements, balancing, and anti-cheat analytics through the remainder of Year 6.
