Age of Water will launch on consoles at the same time its PC early access starts

But it's like on your couch.

Did you just watch the notorious 1995 box office flop Waterworld starring Kevin Costner, read the Wikipedia article confirming that the film did eventually turn a profit off of home media sales, and think to yourself, “Gosh, I’d love to play an MMO with this as the setting on my home video game console?” And then you looked up Age of Water and said, “Yeah, that’s close enough,” but then despaired upon learning that the game would be launching into early access on Steam on April 18th but that was it? Well good news, the game will also be coming to consoles!

Frequently these sorts of things come across as vague promises that eventually the game will be available on consoles, but not so here; Age of Water is launching on consoles on the same day it launches into early access on PC, the versions will be identical, and you can use a controller to play on PC. So that’s good news if this is your preferred platform and speaks well for trying early access titles on consoles as well as personal computers. Just don’t try to pull this same trick by watching other cinematic bombs, although if you try it with Jupiter Ascending and it works, there are worse things.
