New World players are waking up this morning to the 5.0.1 update and the dawn of Springtide Bloom, an event that has quickly become the Most Spring in any MMORPG ever.
“Springtide Bloom is back! Craft Wispy Spritz, lure Wispy Wasps into their blast radius, and reap Wispy Wasp Goo in exchange for Springtide Tokens. Additional rewards can be earned through Springtide Centerpieces, Party Bags, Prismabloom Harvests, and the Event Shop. […] The Time of Awakening has once again arrived. Help the enigmatic Bloom Herald unravel the mysteries of the ethereal Wispybloom for new and returning event-specific rewards. Pluck carefully from April 17 through April 30, as these precious petals attract the attention of the nefarious Wispy Wasps!”
As we noted last week, while the core event is the same as last year’s, the rewards have been upgraded with new armor skins, a new camp skin, and a bunch of housing decor – including a gaudy and gorgeous spring-themed canopy bed. Perfect to collapse in after a long day killing turkeys.
The remaining patch notes focus on addressing crash bugs, animation issues, problems with Slayer Script, crafting failures, and missing diamond gypsum.
