Yesterday wasn’t just the summer solstice; it was also the start of the Solstice event/playtest for EVE Vanguard, the integrated FPS mode of EVE Online, which brought along with it a host of earlier described additional features for subscribers to enjoy.

This latest build is headlined by a new jungle map for players to traverse, with dangerous flora, polluted waters, and new verticality and close-quarters places to consider when engaging in firefights. Another big portion of the build is the addition of adaptive weaponry, adding a new layer of customization and tactical strategy to weapons.

This latest test also features two new industry-focused mission types, some new gadgets for players to use, and several new weapon skins for those who like to dress up their guns in pretty outfits. Testing is once more available to Omega clones (aka subscribers) and runs from now until July 1st.
