Krafton has officially announced a global beta test for the mobile version of its multiplayer survival sandbox Dark and Darker, coming up August 1st through 11th on both iOS and Android, specifically for players in the US, Japan, Turkey, and South Korea. New region just dropped!

“Dark and Darker Mobile’s Global Beta Test will feature exciting new content, including the highly anticipated ‘Wizard’ class, known for powerful long-range attacks,” the company says. “A new village system will allow players to fish and cook with ingredients found in the village or dungeons. Enhanced mercenary behavior options and balanced updates to weapons, items, and classes will also be included, offering a richer and more strategic gameplay experience.”

Preregistration is already live on Krafton’s official site; you’ll also be able to glimpse the game at Gamescom. Dark and Darker itself, if you’re wondering, is actually still doing pretty well; it saw a 57K player concurrency peak after the early access launch just over a month ago, and it’s still seeing over 30K peak daily now as reviews have settled into a “mostly positive” mode.
