Diablo IV shares patch notes and discusses gameplay adjustments arriving with Season 5

Diablo IV is practically gushing with information ahead of its upcoming Season 5 launch on August 6th, with Blizzard offering up a developer livestream and the complete patch notes for the new season’s patch, both of which are extensive indeed.

As one might expect, the livestream provided more details about the Infernal Hordes activity that headlines Season 5 as well as feedback for the activity from PTR testing, but it also took some time to break down more general updates. Players can expect improved drop rates for baleful hearts and legendaries, fewer cinders required to open tortured gifts, the return of profane mindcages (though they’re seasonal only), tweaks to enchanting material requirements, and an extensive list of class updates, new unique item previews, and bug fixes.
