Lost Ark finally tackles raid balance for Echidna, Akkan, and Thaemine in today’s patch

This week’s Lost Ark update is a bit of a smol bean in terms of actual new content, but it’s still worth pointing out as some of what’s in this patch was delayed from earlier in the month – including the planned Echidna raid nerfs.

Amazon’s patch this morning brings the good kind of nerfs to gates 1 and 2 of the Echidna Kazeros raid in both normal and hard modes, reducing the impact of mobs’ debuffs and damage and directly addressing deaths from some of the more esoteric effects. The patch also tackles the Akkan and Thaemine content with similar nerfs. Calm down, bosses.

Also worth a note is that the studio has removed the requirement to have “trusted” account status before using an event powerpass. “Our team will review data, feedback, and any impact to decide any next steps, along with any adjustments to the Trusted system,” Amazon says.

Of course, the real meat of the end of the summer is still incoming in future patches. Readers will recall that the style book feature and the aforementioned Echidna raid rebalance were taken out of the early August update, and the update to the game’s most recent roadmap made clear that the T4 release (and all of its associated content) will also be delayed well into October instead of arriving in September. We still don’t have a date for the style book.
