Jagex’s RuneScape survival spin-off resurfaces asking for closed alpha testers

It’s been a couple years since Jagex first announced that it was working on a survival game spin-off set in the RuneScape universe, but it’s been a lot of silence on the topic since then. Happily for RuneScape fans, it looks as though the project is still very much a go and will be entering public testing before too long.

The studio posted a testers wanted ad for the unnamed title, saying, “Jagex is developing a new survival game set in the RuneScape universe using Unreal Engine 5. We know Jagex is at it’s best when we’re working with players, so we’re looking to recruit playtesters for our Closed Alpha.”

Back in 2022, the initial announcement about this project said that it was “an undisclosed Unreal 5 open world survival game within the RuneScape universe, which aims to grow the franchise into new audiences on desktop and console platforms.”
