Here’s everything you need to know about next week’s WoW Classic Classic launch

With yesterday’s surprise announcement that WoW Classic is launching “Classic Classic” fresh start realms next week on November 21st, plenty of questions were raised about what these new servers will look like. Many of those questions were addressed on the forums in a lengthy blue post covering various topics such as rulesets and why the Hardcore version won’t be going into the expansion.

Some important information to know is that these Classic fresh start servers initially will be limited to only three realms: one PvE, one PvP, and one Hardcore ruleset, with the PvE and PvP one planned to progress into Burning Crusade in about a year (yesterday’s video suggested it would be early 2026). Blizzard also outlined some of the #SomeChanges Classic improvements that it plans to implement, including a Looking for Group tool and services channel to help players organize better.

It’s also good to be aware that the studio is enforcing faction balance on its PvP realm between Alliance and Horde characters and will not be allowing GDKP runs in NA and EU.

Here’s the full 2025+ roadmap to regular Classic and the new fresh Classic realms:
