Ashes of Creation previews new dungeon, new races, and player housing added in Alpha Two phase two

It’s a sequel to a sequel to an alpha! OK, not really, but Ashes of Creation is indeed moving forward to phase two of its Alpha Two, and as that titling would suggest, that means there are some new things to do. Assuming you have $100 to burn to experience an incomplete PvX MMORPG.

Some of the major features released for this next phase of testing include the Dunir and Vaelune playable races as well as the new Befallen Forge dungeon, which got its own hour-long live play preview from the devs. This is one of the game’s overworld dungeons and not instanced, which means FFA PvP can happen (and does at one point in the preview as a flagged player is steamrolled by the team of eight), along with plenty of fire demons to fight, traps to avoid, and at least one jumping puzzle to work through.

The new build also has some new nodes in the Sandskull Desert area alongside adjustments to nearby nodes, the first pass at a rudimentary freeholds player housing feature that promises to have more functionality as phase two moves forward, and the opening of the marketplace auction house.

In addition to the new phase two features, Intrepid Studios intends to shift its server uptime: The MMO will be online 24/7 through January 6th, followed by five day-long testing sessions that will run every week.
