Fans already know that team hero shooter Marvel Rivals is headed for its first full season on January 10th, but now players are getting a few more specific details thanks to a follow-up video from the devs that provides a rundown of content releases, updates, and additions.

Rivals’ first season will be three months long and will be broken up into two halves that last six to seven weeks each. When Season 1 begins, players will get their hands on two members of the Fantastic Four in the form of the duelist Mr. Fantastic and strategist The Invisible Woman, a new Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown convoy map, and an all-new Doom Match game mode that pits eight to 12 players in what sounds like deathmatch combat within the new Sanctum Sanctorum map. The season will also have a Dracula-themed battle pass that’s promising “double the content” along with its first non-expiring Luxury Pass.

The new season will also herald some balance adjustments for the game: Granular details weren’t given but the devs did call out nerfs to Hela and Hawkeye, buffs for Captain America and Venom, a boost to the team-up of Wolverine and Storm, and some tuning for detecting Jeff the Land Shark’s ultimate ability. Finally, the new season will reset ranked mode rankings and add the new Celestial rank. Patch notes and more details are promised later, but the video below offers a breakdown for players now.

In other Rivals news, the popular mod website Nexus Mods has announced it is removing mods for the shooter that replace Captain America’s face with Donald Trump or Joe Biden. As one might unfortunately expect, the decision has caused cries of censorship from right-wing gaming influencers who claim Trump is being targeted, but site owner TheDarkOne immediately hit back against the lies while also calling out threats from people who need to find an entire planet full of grass to touch:

“We also removed the exact same mod with Joe Biden’s head at the same time (on the 2nd of January) to ensure there was no bias and because we don’t want to handle all the nutjobs that come out the woodwork whenever these mods get posted. Funny how the outrage-bait YouTubers don’t mention that, isn’t it?

“Case in point, today, with all the nutjobs coming out of the woodwork sending us death threats, calling us pedos and all the other ‘wah wahs’ that come with this ridiculous situation because some YouTuber told them we are only removing Trump mods.

“I’m not expecting any of my staff to have to handle these whackjobs any more than showing them the door either. So we delete all the mods we see/that get reported to us on the topic, and all the people this upsets can trot-on because it’s really not worth our time or effort to care about.”
