This year’s Capsuleer Day event in EVE Online is going to be looking a tiny bit different. That is to say, the fight against the Drifters that has been encapsulating the sci-fi sandbox will be coming to a head when Capsuleer Day kicks off on Tuesday, April 15th.
The event promises “a full-scale seasonal event with daily login rewards, exciting and lucrative challenges, as well as a faction-driven war that spans wormholes, Pochven, and empire space,” with players of all stripes being encouraged to contribute to the war effort.
To further entice players, there will be Drifter-themed SKINs, SKINR components, ships, and rare items to those who complete challenges across these different activities in the event’s reward track, along with daily login goodies to collect. CCP has also been offering five days of subscriber bennies that can be claimed until April 14th in the lead-up to the event.
In other EVE news, the game’s community newsletter highlights a massive brawl that broke out in BWF-ZZ at the top of April, an earlier frigate free-for-all event held by the community, and a recent fleet fight that saw 150M ISK of internet spaceship turned into scrap. There’s also a spotlight thrown on a player-run 24-hour charity livestream happening on April 26th to benefit Cancer Research UK for Children & Young People.
