Camelot Unchained takes gamers on a flight through the Yggdra Forest zone in latest trailer

After announcing near the end of last year that it wouldn’t make its targeted early access release, the devs of Camelot Unchained have come back from their winter break to continue teaser trailer releases, this time offering a peek at the zone of Yggdra Forest.

Described as a place where “danger and death await the unprepared, but the steadfast will find rich resources to plunder,” the zone appears to be the starting area for the MMORPG’s Viking people, which is replete with plenty of similarly styled points of interest including a large city, an imposing keep, and at least a couple of ritual sites of some manner, all surrounded by frigid mountains and alpine trees.

As mentioned before, CU has elected to push its early access back to sometime later this year, with plans to begin stress testing sometime this month according to Unchained Entertainment’s last missive. We still don’t have details for those tests quite yet, but we do have a snowy land of Viking-themed splendor in the video below.

MMORPG Camelot Unchained, Kickstarted in 2013, has taken flak over the years thanks to delays, the launch and sunset of a second game using CU’s custom engine, and refund drama. The game entered its “beta one” phase back in 2018, putting 3000 humans and bots on the battlefield simultaneously. A 2025 early access was delayed in 2026.
