It’s sad news for fans of Marvel Heroes and Super Hero Squad Online as at least one of the teams behind Gazillion‘s successful titles appears to have gotten a bit smaller. Michael Parks, formerly of the company, tweeted that friends of his were out of work:
A LOT of my friends in San Francisco are out of work today. If your company is hiring, PLEASE let me know, or use the #gamejobs tag. Thanks.

He declined to give more numbers and insisted that whatever happened was not a news story or unusual for the game industry. More information and speculation was posted on the official Marvel Heroes Reddit (which the moderators appear to have removed) and on its forums. We’ve reached out to Gazillion for comment on which game was affected and will update this story with any response; regardless, our condolences go out to everyone involved.
Yesterday, as a result of company restructuring, we at Gazillion unfortunately parted ways with some truly excellent personnel. We wish them well in their future endeavors, and would recommend them to other employers in a heartbeat. To our players – the best community in gaming – rest assured that Gazillion remains very healthy, and we’re as dedicated as ever to continuing to deliver the stellar new content you’ve come to expect from us.
